Types of Funds

Grant Cycle Funds

The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) supports local non-profit organizations through our Grant Cycle Funds, which are designed to address pressing community needs and foster positive change. These funds are distributed in response to applications submitted by local non-profits during our three grant cycles each year. Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention

This fund supports initiatives aimed at preventing alcohol and drug abuse in our community. Grants from this fund are used for educational programs, support services, and preventive measures to combat substance abuse and promote healthier lifestyles.

Community Health Care

Community-Wide Impact

Crivitz Area Giving Fund

Specifically benefiting the Crivitz area, this fund supports local projects and organizations that contribute to the well-being and development of the Crivitz community. Grants focus on enhancing community services, facilities, and programs.

Homelessness Prevention Services

This fund supports organizations that provide services and resources to prevent homelessness in our community. Grants are used for emergency shelter, housing assistance, and supportive services to help individuals and families maintain stable housing.

Peshtigo Area Community Endowment

The Peshtigo Area Community Endowment Fund supports projects and programs that benefit the Peshtigo community. Grants focus on a wide range of needs, from educational initiatives to community development projects.

Philanthropy

The Philanthropy Fund promotes charitable giving and supports initiatives that encourage a culture of philanthropy in our community. Grants help fund educational programs, donor engagement activities, and other efforts that inspire giving.

Twin Counties Emergency Service Providers

This fund supports emergency service providers in Marinette and Menominee Counties. Grants are used for equipment, training, and resources to ensure that our emergency responders are well-prepared to serve and protect the community.

Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment

Youth Field of Interest

Agency Funds

Crivitz School District

This fund benefits the Crivitz School District, providing financial support for educational programs, student activities, and facility improvements to enhance the learning environment.

DAR Boys & Girls Club

Supporting the DAR Boys & Girls Club, this fund ensures that local youth have access to safe, enriching after-school programs and activities that promote personal growth and development.

Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA

Supporting the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA, this fund helps provide community members with access to health and wellness programs, recreational activities, and family services.

Marine Way Foundation Fund

To support projects, activities and programs that relate to the enhancement of educational, athletics, scholastic, artistic, dramatic, technological or interpersonal growth opportunities for individuals, groups or organizations in the greater Marinette community.

Menominee Animal Shelter

This fund benefits the Menominee Animal Shelter, supporting their efforts to care for and find homes for abandoned and neglected animals.

North Central Area Schools

Supporting North Central Area Schools, this fund provides financial assistance for educational programs, extracurricular activities, and school improvements.

Peshtigo School District

This fund benefits the Peshtigo School District, providing support for educational programs, student services, and facility enhancements.

Pinecrest Medical Care Facility

Supporting the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, this fund helps ensure that residents receive high-quality care and access to medical services.

Wausaukee School District Excellence in Education

This fund supports the Wausaukee School District, providing financial assistance for educational excellence, including programs, scholarships, and facility improvements.

The Timmie Riley Fund for Cats

The purpose of the Fund is to fund the trap, neuter, and release efforts at the Menominee Animal Shelter.

Friends of St. Vincent de Paul

This fund benefits the Friends of St. Vincent de Paul, supporting their mission to provide assistance to those in need, including food, clothing, and other essential services.

Gail Wright New Teacher Support

Provides financial support to first-year teachers in the Menominee School District.

Klar Memorial Spies Public Library

This fund benefits the Spies Public Library, supporting its mission to provide educational resources, programs, and services to the community.

Lyle “Chummy” McDonald Memorial

The Lyle “Chummy” McDonald Memorial Fund supports various community initiatives in memory of Lyle McDonald, reflecting his dedication to improving the local area.

Carl Lukash Fund for the Peshtigo Police Department

Established in honor of Carl Lukash, this fund supports the Peshtigo Police Department by providing resources for equipment, training, and community policing initiatives.

Dina Johnson Meissner Memorial

To support the digitization of the Spies Public Library microfilm record of the Menominee Herald-Leader and its predecessors.
